Here are some common questions and answers about Medica One and our website. If you have a question that doesn't appear here, please contact us and we'll do our best to answer it!

Q: Are you accepting new patients?

A: We are currently building our practice and accepting new patients is a vital part of this. When you register for a Doctor your information is reviewed by our Doctor team to see how we can best accomodate you subject to Doctors' capacities and individual patient loads. While we do our best to accomodate your specific requirements such as preferred language, we place patients according to available capacity as determined by us.

Q:How Does The Temporary Location Work?

A:Medica One's temporary location in Burlington is a collection of fully functional and growing family practices. Our Doctors are operating just like a regular practice from this location. Where the temporary location differs from our new facilities coming in 2011 is with additional services and also the general accomodations of the facilities. Currently, the Burlington location is supported by Axis Pharmacy (Elizabeth Street), however, we do not have most of the added services that will be part of the new buildings (for example Walk-in Clinics, Labs, etc.). Building access and parking is also a little bit limited. We do appreciate your collective patience as we work toward the new facility. If you are looking for a walk-in clinic, we recommend visiting any number of local clinics such as Halton Family Health Centre (Walkers Line & Dundas).

Q:Does it cost anything to register for a Doctor?

A:No. Registering for a Doctor is free, however, it is worth noting that being placed with a Doctor is subject both to reviewing your information and to our Doctors' capacities and patient loads at the time of your application.
